The northern Bohemia opera and ballet theater – is situated in the city center, it was built in 1909 in pseudo-baroque style, you can see opera, drama and ballet, its capacity is 900 spectators. The fame of the theater increased between the world wars. Lots of famous artists from all over Europe were seen here. Wagner`s operas were mostly played here during the Second world war. After the war, lots of artists came to perform. The theater came through complete reconstruction during 1986-1993.
